I am Kristina Numina, a Traditional Healing Arts Practitioner, mother, ceremonialist, artist, teacher, water carrier, and Earth guardian.

 

Central to my work is the understanding that I am not alone in this journey. I am accompanied by countless relatives, elders, and teachers—both human and non-human. I express my gratitude to all my relations, including the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Rio Grande, Grandmother Moon, the Saguaro cacti, the deer, the plants, and the water.

 

The mission of Femmecina is inspired by my abuelitas and my ancestors. Under the guidance of my abuelas, I have received a medicine bundle and the name Cihuamazatl Tepeyolotli, which translates to Deer Woman who Lives in the Heart of the Mountain. I approach my role as a medicine woman and ceremonialist with the gentleness of a new seedling, carrying my bundle with care.

 

Currently, I reside in Albuquerque, NM, with my husband, Joerael Numina, my daughter, Opal, and our three canine companions. My activities include cooking, hiking, resting, nurturing my plants, engaging in community relationships, dreaming, and creating. I prioritize practices such as Yoga, meditation, movement, and breathwork , as I believe these actions possess the power to uplift and transform all life. Ometeotl.
